Collection of Information
EFFISION accesses, collects, uses and stores information regarding our employees, contractors and clients. In some cases this may extend to our clients' employees, customers and contractors. We also collect your personal information where it is necessary for the purposes of marketing our products and services and where requested distributing newsletters, licensing our software, updating our software and responding to sales and technical queries.
The information EFFISION may collect includes, but is not limited to:
- Information you provide at our request
- Company name / address
- Position title
- Phone numbers.
- When you use our web site, your domain name, e-mail address, and information on what pages you access.
Personal information can also be obtained when you provide EFFISION with your business card, reports and other documentation.
Personal information will be collected with the consent of our clients and where appropriate with the person concerned. Consent does not have to be written, it may be verbal. Purposes for collection will be specified no later than at the time of collection and will be in accordance with relevant legislation.
EFFISION prides itself on its professionalism and will only use personal information for the purposes which it is intended or where its use is required or permitted by legislation. We will also advise you of the consequences, of not providing information.
Use, Disclosure and Retention of Information
The confidentiality of personal information is of paramount importance to EFFISION and our consultants are aware of their obligations regarding privacy and incorporate these into their working practices. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others without your permission. No information will be communicated to third parties without the individual's consent, except where required by law.
EFFISION may also use the information when acting in an emergency situation that threatens the life, health or security of an individual or the protection of property. Such special uses of personal information without consent will be documented and accessible to the individual in accordance with the privacy laws of Australia.
Personal information will not be kept for periods longer than are necessary to fulfil the identified purpose. All information will be retained based upon the following needs: administrative, legal, statistical and archival, and in the latter two cases, the information will be de-identified as appropriate.
EFFISION may use your personal information to:
- Provide the services that you request;
- Do all things necessary to administer those services;
- Research, develop, manage, protect and improve our services;
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and inform you of any improvements / development that we have made to our products and/or services; and
- Maintain and develop our software and other business systems.
Where you are contacted without prior consent, or at any time you wish contact to be terminated, please advise EFFISION accordingly.
It is important to note that when you email EFFISION or participate in an on-line inquiry, there are associated risks in transmitting information electronically. These are not the responsibility of EFFISION.
Storage, Accuracy and Security of Information
EFFISION takes reasonable steps to ensure the information it holds is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We rely on your accuracy and disclosure in the provision of such information and presume it is free from error and omission, is not misleading or deceptive and complies with relevant legislation. You should provide EFFISION with details of any changes to your personal information as soon as reasonably practicable.
All our data is stored in written and/or electronic form and we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information.
At all times, we take great care to ensure your personal information is protected from unauthorised access, use, disclosure or alteration. EFFISION will not share your personal information with any organisations, other than those engaged by us to assist in the provision of our products and services.
Generally, information is destroyed or permanently de-identified when it is no longer required.
In the event that an individual is not satisfied with any aspect of this policy or the collection, accuracy, use and storage of their personal information, he or she must contact our Privacy Officer. The Privacy Officer will formally investigate all cases, conduct a review of findings, and openly communicate the resolution of the complaint to the individual.
The only information we collect and store during normal web site usage is the name of your internet service provider, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request and the date and time of those requests. We may use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve our website.
